Three Months and Counting...
It's hard to believe we only have three months until the third annual All Write Now! conference begins. The conference committee is working to put together the final details so the day is the best it can be for everyone.
One of the things we want to make sure of is that everyone is kept up-to-date on important information like deadlines. Here are a few you should mark on your calendar:
April 30th - Last day for $75 early registration (goes up to $85 afterward)
May 15th - Last day to submit writing contest entries
June 15th - Last day to receive the group discount rate at Pear Tree Inn
June 20th - Last day to submit sponsor ads (need setup time for the brochure)
June 25th - Last day to submit pieces for critique (additional fee)
June 27th - Last day to register for the conference and schedule pitches (free)
July 1st - Last day to request the bookstore order your books (on registration form)
July 16th - Last day to have pieces copied and ready for Slush Pile
If you're coming to the conference, sign up soon and bring a friend. Don't forget that the writing contests are a great way to boost your confidence but also boost your writing platform. If you or a friend run a small business and would like to advertise at reasonable rates, please contact us about a sponsor ad. Don't forget, pitches are FREE but you must sign up for them on your registration form. We still have room for one-on-one critiques. And don't forget about the highlight of the day: the slush pile reading!
One final note: we will be announcing something new, cool, and awesome in the next few weeks, so stay tuned. A hint: professional writers and editors need to be able to present themselves in a professional way but selfies aren't always the best quality photos.
