...And here we go again!
It's a beautiful snowy February morning and all I can think about is "Five more months until the conference!" While others are making snowmen and sledding down hills, I'm frantically trying to update the website so everything is ready as soon as possible.
This year's conference is going to be amazing. I don't use that word lightly. For the first time we have the resources to invite New York literary agents to the conference! The AWN! committee is thrilled to be able to offer this level of quality to writers in the Heartland and beyond. It does raise last year's price. However, we feel that what our guests have to offer you, the writers, is worth the cost. More about that later. (Yes, that's a teaser.)
Below is just a taste of the awesome lineup we're working on for The Third Annual All Write Now! Conference.
Literary agent Jill Marr, of Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency will be taking pitches, offering feedback on manuscripts, and presenting at least two workshops.
Literary agent John Rudolph of Dystel & Goderich will focus on writing children's fiction and he, too, will take pitches.
Children's author, blogger, and freelance writer Sue Bradford Edwards will discuss short non-fiction for kids.
Self-published author Liz Schulte will share her experience in self-publishing mystery and paranormal romance. She currently has seventeen novels in print and multiple short stories and audiobooks.
Author and teacher Dixon Hearne will teach workshops on short stories and be our lunch keynote speaker.
Poet and memoir writer David Armand will teach a workshop on each subject.
...and possibly one or two more!
Stay tuned for updates. Just as Missouri weather changes in the blink of an eye, so will this website in the next few weeks!
